Turning and turning in the widening gyre
The falcon cannot hear the falconer;
Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold;
Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world,
The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere
The ceremony of innocence is drowned;
The best lack all conviction, while the worst
Are full of passionate intensity.
Surely some revelation is at hand;
Surely the Second Coming is at hand.
The Second Coming! Hardly are those words out
When a vast image out of Spiritus Mundi
Troubles my sight: somewhere in sands of the desert
A shape with lion body and the head of a man,
A gaze blank and pitiless as the sun,
Is moving its slow thighs, while all about it
Reel shadows of the indignant desert birds.
The darkness drops again; but now I know
That twenty centuries of stony sleep
Were vexed to nightmare by a rocking cradle,
And what rough beast, its hour come round at last,
Slouches towards Bethlehem to be born?
Anarchy as an ideal is a testament to man's affinity for self-determination.
Every man has a right to determine for himself his own destiny.
Whether this leads to salvation or abomination, he is justified to purport himself by the direction of his own internal compass.
Systems of government and laws, morality, religion, and society are systems bent on controlling the man and determining his destiny, robbing him of his very predilections and substituting them for their own perverted ethos.
Man is a function of nature, and nature of the cosmos that control all of us causally back to the beginning of time.
There are only the rules that we choose to obey, and only the constraints and limits of our own minds.
And though I may have hinted at the idea that all things in time have been pre-determined, man must live as though he has free will, otherwise there is not a life worth living.
As a beast and as a sentient being, man must choose to allow others to control him.
Therefore the question is this: How much is enough?
It is a personal question with a personal answer, and no two people will answer the same.
Upon answering this question a destination is created, and a map -per se- of actions can be created charting a course to achieving this goal.
Without answering this question, however, the man is listless, luffing in the wind, looking for answers that society, morality, religion, and government will give him.
The answer to government, morality, religion, and society is:
Anarchy
